Getting started
Is Mi Frente free?
Yes. It’s a free download with no ads. For free you can play the first four opponents, online, ranked play with tournaments, the school, the daily puzzle and the score keeper. “Dominó Completo” is a one-time purchase that unlocks the hard and master computer, house rules, more places and tables, the full review and full statistics.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later. There’s no Android version yet.
Do I need internet?
Not to play the computer, the school, the daily puzzle or the score keeper. Yes for online, ranked play and tournaments.
Which rules does it use?
The Dominican rules come set: partners, to 200, counting all four hands, with 30-point bonuses for capicúa, opening pass and pass-around. A bonus is only scored if the team stays below the target. Settings also has “Classic to 100” and the Federation rules, and with Completo, your house rules.
Playing online
How do I play with friends?
In “Online”, tap “Private table” and share the link on WhatsApp (or read out the 6-letter code). Whoever opens it joins your table.
I opened the link and the app didn’t open
On the link page tap “Open Mi Frente”. If you don’t have it, download it, open it, go to “Online”, tap “Join with a code” and type the code shown on the page. The table holds the seat for a while; if it’s gone, ask whoever invited you to create a new one.
How do I play over FaceTime?
Start a FaceTime call, open Mi Frente, create a private table and tap “Play over FaceTime”. Everyone on the call who has the app joins the same table.
My internet dropped mid-game
Open the app again: it reconnects you to the same table. While you’re away, the computer plays your seat so the others aren’t left waiting.
Can I report or block someone?
Yes: online tables have “Report” and “Block”. There’s no free chat: only quick phrases from a list.
Ranked play and tournaments
Official rules of the weekly tournaments →
Does ranked play cost anything?
Nothing. Ranked play, rankings, tournaments and trophies are free for everyone. No trophy, point or title is for sale, and nothing is random.
Which games count toward my rating?
Ranked games, always four people with a random partner, and tournament games when four people sit down. Quick matches, private tables and games against the computer don’t count. Your rating is provisional until you play 20 games.
When are the tournaments?
Four a week, on Dominican time (UTC−4): Wednesday 8:00–9:30 p.m., Friday 9:00–11:00 p.m., Saturday 3:00–5:00 p.m. and Sunday 6:00–8:00 p.m. The app also shows them in your phone’s time zone.
How do you win a tournament?
While it’s open, play as many games as you like, each with a random partner. A win gives 2 points; after 2 wins in a row you’re “on fire” and a win gives 4; a lisa adds 1; a loss gives 0 and abandoning takes away 2. If four people don’t gather within 45 seconds, the computer fills in and a win in that game is worth 1. At the close there are trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, a plaque for the top 10% and the Cup of the Provinces.
What happens if someone abandons?
You abandon if you leave and don’t come back before the game ends (if you drop and return in time, it doesn’t count). The player who abandons takes the loss, drops ladder points (can fall one division) and is locked out of ranked play and tournaments for 5 minutes the first time, 30 the second and 24 hours from the third within a day. Their games-finished percentage is public. Their partner plays on with the computer: losing costs nothing, winning counts as usual.
How do I hide from the rankings?
In Settings › Ranked and privacy turn off “Show me in public rankings”. You stop appearing in public and friends tables and don’t compete for “number one” spots; you can still win tournament trophies. That’s also where you change your country and province, or delete your ranked profile.
Why am I not on the leaderboard?
Tables refresh every few minutes and show the top 100; your own position is always shown at the bottom. The rating table needs 20 ranked games and play within the last 14 days. If you’re hidden, you won’t appear.

Apple handles payments. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com or from the app’s Store.
